I don’t care whether you are religious or not, you had better pay attention to some of this.
I don’t know how many other people have noticed that Trump has lately begun to swing around on some of his original statements about things and, by golly, I believe he is starting to sound more like a democrat every time he opens his mouth.
Well, folks, isn’t that the strategy?
He is seeing that his poll numbers are falling into the shit can at an exponential rate because America is tired of his blustering, bragging, arrogance and his mis-steps and his mis-handling and his lack of real leadership — and his lies (More than 2,000 of them so far about important issues) — so what would be a winning tactic to stop the freefall of his polls and win him some points with the American People?
The answer would be for him to reverse course on a few things and talk more like democrats talk about the really important stuff.
But here is the rub to that strategy: Anyone with common sense would already deduce that if Trump wins on his new tactic of sounding like a democrat, you can bet your ass that as soon as the election is over and as soon as they have redesigned his oval office chair to accommodate his ever expanding ponderosity, he will turn right back to being his sweet old self again …. chuckling to himself all the time about how cleverly he pulled the wool over American eyes.
Keep an eye on the Trumpster folks and watch as he suddenly begins to show that he actually cares about such formerly trivial things as the pandemic and the death toll of Americans.
It’s all tragi-comic political theater designed to fool the average buffoon on the street and if we aren’t damned careful, he will do it!
I was 26-years-old before I found out that Purina One is not a baby food. That’s the kind of respect they had for me as a child. They even hung me up on the clothesline by my diaper after a bath so that I could dry in the fresh air. My baby sitter always asked my Mom, “Is it alright if I give your monkey a banana?” Mom thought the joke was funny; Daddy thought it was true. I drank hot toddies made from Kentucky Bourbon, milk and sugar out of a baby bottle until I was 7 years old. I think my parents thought that if they kept me a little drunk, I would be less likely to set the house on fire. They were proven wrong at least twice.
“The sight of armed men in combat fatigues without name tags driving around in unmarked vehicles to detain protestors might have been expected in Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union, or the Latin American dictatorships of the 1970s. Such tactics have no place on the streets of an American city in 2020.” —- (THE HILL).
How long until America wakes up?
If Trump does have a “Personal Army” as in the DHS troops he has deployed to various American cities to quell riots, does anybody in their right mind deny that the day will inevitably come when we wake up one morning and find that the Trump Troops have taken complete control of every American city and his position of power will be absolute and cemented for a long long time to come?
I guess if one is going to make any assumptions about whether Trump’s presidency is good or bad, one has to consider who has the biggest mouth and the largest coverage in the media … the Right Wing or the Left. (It’s a matter of opinion and perspective.) The Trumpies think his every word is Gospel written in the stones of the foundations of Time and Creation themselves and the rest of the voting public either do not know what they think or they would wipe their rear ends on him.
I know that to my way of thinking, the president loves a good fight and a delicious scandal because he is always picking the former and alluding to the latter. This trait tends to make his presidency into something of a TV reality show if you ask me. Somehow he never does quite appear to me to be remotely “Presidential.” But I am biased so don’t depend on anything I might say concerning either the president or his administration. I have nothing against the president … I just wish America had something better going for them right now … especially in tough times when there is need for authentic leadership and not something that appears to have been ripped from the pages of a comic book — The super hero in the orange wig.
Voters who may be entertaining the notion that they will clear all this Trumpian mess up in the coming election should think hard and consider whether there will be an election this time around (The coronavirus might become an excuse to postpone or cancel it) —- and if there is an election, the voters should consider the possibility that the Trumpies will look for and find a way to fuck them out of their vote (Suppression) (Control of the flow of Mail for absentee ballot elimination) or closing a lot of voting precincts or some other fuckery that only desperate minds can conjure.
Does anybody remember that this president was impeached? By this point in time is there any remaining question that since that auspicious occasion, perhaps he should have been impeached a couple more times? But maybe that is wishful thinking. Maybe nobody could uncover any shady dealings or corruption if they were to try the impeachment route again.
Here is something that “The Rude Pundit” said that I totally agree with:
“Fortunately, Trump is a bounty of crime and unethical behavior. Today, as I’m writing this, that piece of shit president and his evil walrus attorney general are announcing that they will be sending an alphabet soup of hundreds of federal law enforcement officers (or, you know, stormtroopers) to Chicago, since the ongoing dress rehearsal in Portland went so well, and that other cities will follow. Trump said, militaristically, “Today I’m announcing a surge of federal law enforcement into American communities plagued by violent crime.” Of course, Trump spoke about this in the rapiest way possible, saying that the cities “need it badly” and “should want it.” Of course, they don’t want it, as governors and mayors have made crystal-fuckin’-clear, but der Trumpen-fuhrer will not be deterred from securing the fatherland (as in “I bet my father would love me if he saw how I’m treating this land”). And, hey, it’s probably unconstitutional for him to be doing this specifically for policing purposes, as Walrus Barr said it would be, so throw another impeachment log on the dead fire.” (End of quote from The Rude Pundit).
The amazing part (In my opinion) of whether the Trump administration has been good or bad is that it doesn’t seem to have been so bad for me so far.
I am still able to buy groceries, there is a roof over my head and clothing on my bones and money in the bank … Trump hasn’t sent any Gestapo into my town yet —
I am not too happy with the way the President has handled the pandemic thus far but then nobody really has been able to do much about the pandemic so maybe that is a catch-22 thing. Maybe nobody ever will be able to do anything about the pandemic thing. Maybe we will have to live with the pandemic thing for the rest of our days or even the days of those who come after us.
Who can tell? All I want to do right now is to prevent virus-spreading bastards with their bare noses sticking out of their masks, spraying their virus everywhere with impunity and disregard for anybody else — I want to keep those assholes as far away from me as I can. I think if I focus on that specific task, I will have enough to do to keep me busy for a long time now.
It has been reported that it looks to some observers like Trump’s Troops (Private Militia) (Gestapo) (Unidentified Federal Agents) may have caught the Mayor of Portland, Oregon in a cloud of tear gas during a recent “Demonstration” (Scourge of Vandalism) in that beleaguered city.
I am particularly disturbed by the use of tear gas by these unknown entities who have been allegedly identified as Federal troops sent into the city to quell the riots taking place there. I am always somewhat disturbed by any mass attack by armed troops advancing on a civilian population with clouds of any kind of gas …. In this case, I am also very thankful that teargas is their choice and not something worse.
Now there are reports that some of the fires being set in Portland are being set not by so-called “Demonstrators” but by certain of the police themselves. There is no way at present to substantiate those claims but I have heard of this kind of tactic before … set the building on fire and blame it on rowdy civilians. —— https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reichstag_fire
Trump has referred to the “Demonstrators” as “Anarchists” and in the case of the Reichstag Fire, the “Communists” were blamed.
In my opinion, the sudden arrest (without warrants) of civilians off the streets of Portland and hauling them away to unknown destinations in unmarked van-type vehicles gives me a mental impression of a few dozen unfortunate souls jammed into a large military truck on their way to God only knows where back in the days of the Second World War.
The good news, as far as I am concerned, is that nobody has yet reported that the arrested “Demostrators” are being taken to any kind of special “Detainment/Interrogation” camps or anything of that nature. But assessing the personalities who are behind these kinds of actions, I have to conclude that anything is possible in the future.
I wonder if this thing will escalate to the days when we see a revival of McCarthyism or worse or a day when these kinds of protesters will be waterboarded or worse.
How far are we all away from martial law in The United States?
